Assistant Head of Year

Job Type: Permanent

Contract: 37 hours per week x 39 weeks per year, 8:00am – 4pm Monday to Friday (Term time plus inset days and one additional week)

Salary/Grade: Salary calculated in line with NJC Grade D pay scale, point 8 – 14 £26,824 - £29,540 per annum (Actual salary £23,132 - £25,474 per annum pro-rated)

Job Start Date: September 2026

We are looking for an Assistant Head of Year to join our staff team. Working closely with the Head of Year you will play a key role in raising standards through supporting the pastoral care in a year group. You will support students in achieving positive educational outcomes with a focus on behaviour, safeguarding, attendance and punctuality. The successful applicant must be able to establish excellent relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues, and work well within a team.
