Job Description
Salary/Grade C6 – C7 £13.47 – £13.69 per hour, £25,989 - £26,403 FTE (pay rise pending). 24 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
We are looking for a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our happy school in Woolwell, Plymouth. The post is to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in Year One to support their learning, emotional regulation and social interactions.
The successful candidate will need to:
- Have a good understanding of phonics or be prepared to undertake phonics training.
- Have high expectations of learning and the ability to adapt provision to meet individual needs.
- Have a good understanding of social and emotional needs.
- Be an effective team player with a calm and patient approach.
GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent is essential.
This post is subject to the continued attendance of a pupil who is in receipt of an EHCP for whom the school receives additional funding.
