Teaching Assistants

Salary: B or C depending on qualifications

Contract: 32.5 hours, Permanent

Start Date: ASAP or September

We are looking to appoint two enthusiastic, hardworking, and creative Teaching Assistants to work alongside classroom teachers in creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in preparing and delivering lessons and activities.
• Work with pupils one-to-one or in small groups to help them understand and complete tasks.
• Help set up and tidy away classroom materials and resources.
• Supervise pupils during lessons, breaks, and school activities as required.
• Provide extra help for pupils with special educational needs or those who need additional support.
• Encourage good behaviour and promote the school’s values.
• Follow all school safeguarding and health and safety policies to keep pupils safe.

Person Specification

Essential:

• Good standard of education in English and Maths.
• Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEND).
• Experience of working with children or young people in a school setting.
• Friendly, patient, and supportive approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, organised, and able to follow instructions.

Desirable:

• First Aid Qualification
