Job Description
Contract: Full-time or Part-time / job share possible, Term-time only
Working Hours: Mon-Thu 8am-4pm Friday 8am-3.30pm / different hours could be considered for the right candidate
Salary: Grade C Point 5-7 Actual pay £21,991 - £22,340 (based on 37 hours a week)
We are expanding foundation school, offering education for 100 children between the ages of 2 and 19 years with complex physical and sensory difficulties. Many pupils also have medical needs and other difficulties that may affect their learning. We offer an inclusive service to our families, providing support for more than a child’s learning and development.
We are seeking a highly organised and approachable Receptionist & Administrative Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a front-facing role at the heart of the school, providing a warm welcome to visitors and delivering vital administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Main school receptionist: answer calls, greet visitors, manage sign-in and ID checks.
- Handle confidential pupil and staff information with accuracy and discretion.
- Maintain school calendars, process attendance data, and chase unreported absences.
- Support communication with parents and carers through letters, emails, and newsletters.
- Assist with lunch menu administration, dietary requirements.
- Manage incoming/outgoing post and deliveries.
- Provide wider administrative support, including SharePoint forms, event preparation, and emergency procedures.
