Job Description

Full time: 37 hours per week

Salary: Grade 6A £29,070 to 7D £34,941 FTE

Plymouth Learning Partnership CIC focuses on early intervention and targeted support to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives. Through our Primary School-based MAST service, we provide dedicated, non-judgmental psychological and therapeutic support to overcome challenges faced by young people. Our mission is to foster positive futures by addressing difficulties early on. Role Description

This is a full-time (37hrs), on-site role for a Finance Officer based in Plymouth. The Finance Officer will manage the day to day financial transactions for the organisation, including bank reconciliation and ledger management. Core duties include producing financial information, undertaking payroll, invoicing, expenses and VAT management. The successful candidate will be able to resolve financial questions, carry out internal audits for accuracy and also help create budget reports. Precision and accuracy in financial reporting is paramount. The Finance Officer will ensure compliance with financial and company regulations reporting to the CEO and Non-Executive Director.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a finance role within a mid-sized SME, or be working in a top 100 accountancy firm
  • Strong Analytical and Finance skills
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with teams and stakeholders
  • High level proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently
  • Minimum AAT or equivalent required
  • Professional finance certifications (such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) are an advantage
  • DBS and safer recruitment process is required
