Deputy Nursery Manager

Salary Scale:  Deputy Nursery Manager; Grade F £18327 - £21748 pro rata 43.128 weeks per year.

We are excited to be opening a new Governor-led nursery on a site integral to our highly successful primary school in SE Cornwall.  We are looking for an exceptional nursery deputy manager who is passionate and knowledgeable about the Early Years curriculum, will put the children at the heart of everything they do, be able to motivate, inspire and challenge pupils to achieve their very best and be part of a child centred approach that is inclusive of everyone at the school.  We would need you to be resilient and prepared to go that extra mile to make a difference to our children and to commit yourself to success through effort and teamwork. You will need a creative, exciting approach to teaching and teaching and learning have excellent organisational skills and a good sense of humour.  We are initially looking at a term-time only contract (43.128 weeks per year) but this may change by mutual agreement in the future to offer more weeks of care. 

We can offer a newly refurbished indoor and outdoor learning environment which you will be able to help us shape and develop alongside the nursery manager as we move forward.  We have a friendly, good humoured and collaborative team of staff in the wider school, a supportive senior leadership team and governing body who have a genuine commitment to the emotional wellbeing of staff and children, and we provide many opportunities for professional development.  If you join Team Burraton, you will have a chance to make a real difference to the lives of children in our community and their families.  The successful candidate will be invited to contribute their knowledge and expertise in supporting the governors in establishing the nursery from the outset.
