Tor Bridge High in Plymouth, rated Good by Ofsted in March 2018, was described as having “an open and positive school culture”, “where pupils of different ages happily co-exist”.

Ours is a thriving school oversubscribed for the fifth year.

This is an exciting opportunity for a non-teaching colleague who is keen to develop pastoral experience in a “small school within school”, role. Our students join one of four small schools, where tutor groups are vertically organised.

As Deputy Head of ‘Faraday’ School, you will join a team of staff overseeing the pastoral support of some 350 students aged 11-16 years.

Are you:

  • Keen to support young people to achieve their very best in all aspects of their education and willing to go the ‘extra mile’?
  • An excellent communicator able to present to students and adults. Confident dealing with a range of multi-agency professional?
  • Efficient and effective administratively and in using ICT?
  • Looking for a leadership role to develop professionally?

Qualifications

Minimum 5 GCSE Grade C or higher to include English Language, mathematics and science. Post 16/Post 18 qualifications advantageous.
